Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026

The short version. OIE runs on remarkably little of your data: an email address, a couple of optional preferences, and your plan status. We never see your card number — Stripe handles billing. We don't run ad trackers. The videos we analyze are public YouTube content, not information about you. And when you want your account gone, one email does it.

01Who we are

OIE (Outlier Intelligence Engine) is a YouTube analytics service operated by Onavani Inc., a company based in Austin, Texas, United States ("Onavani," "we," "us"). This policy describes what we collect when you use OIE — the app at app.onavani.com and this website — why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Questions at any point: office@onavani.com.

02What we collect

OIE has no passwords and no profile forms to speak of. The complete list of personal data we store about you:

What we deliberately don't collect: passwords (sign-in works by emailed magic link instead), payment card details (Stripe processes all billing on their own systems — card numbers never touch our servers), and browsing behavior via third-party trackers.

03Public YouTube data is not data about you

The core of OIE — channel statistics, video view counts, and video transcripts obtained through YouTube's own caption system — is analysis of publicly available content published by YouTube creators. That data is about public videos and channels, not about you or your use of OIE, and it isn't governed by this policy except where noted below.

04How we use your email

Your email address is used for exactly three things:

We do not sell your email address, share it with advertisers, or add it to third-party marketing lists.

05Cookies

OIE sets a single first-party session cookie when you sign in, so you stay signed in for up to 30 days. That's the extent of it. We currently use no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics cookies. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy first and note it under "Changes to this policy" below.

06Third parties we share data with

We share data with three service providers, each for one narrow purpose:

We do not sell personal data to anyone, and we don't share it beyond the providers above except where the law requires it.

07Data retention and deleting your account

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. To delete your account, email office@onavani.com from the address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account." We'll confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days, removing your email, display name, preferences, and explanation history from our systems.

Two honest caveats: billing records held by Stripe are retained as required by tax and financial law, and residual copies may persist briefly in encrypted backups before they cycle out.

08Your rights

Wherever you live, we extend the same baseline: you can ask us to access the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional statutory rights, and we'll honor valid requests under those laws.

A frank note on process: OIE is a small service, and we don't yet offer self-service data export or automated request tooling. Requests are handled manually, by a person, via email. Send them to office@onavani.com; we'll verify the request came from the account's email address and respond within 30 days. Given how little we store (see section 02), most requests are simple to fulfill.

09Children

OIE is intended for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we'll delete it. If you believe a minor has an account, contact us at office@onavani.com.

10Where your data lives

OIE is hosted in the United States. If you use the service from outside the US, your account data is transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

11Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes — anything that meaningfully affects what we collect or how we use it — we'll also email account holders before the change takes effect. Continued use of OIE after a change means you accept the updated policy.
